Nieuwegein, Netherlands – The Netherlands is once again reeling from the brutal murder of an innocent child at the hands of a criminal Moroccan migrant, and Geert Wilders is demanding answers. An 11-year-old girl named Sohani was viciously stabbed to death last Saturday in Nieuwegein by a 29-year-old Moroccan national with a known criminal record. The tragedy has ignited a fierce political battle over the government’s repeated failure to protect Dutch citizens from violent migrants.
The suspect, already well known to police for previous violent offenses, had been terrorizing the neighborhood in the days leading up to the murder. Residents had repeatedly called the police, warning about the threat he posed. A mother had even reported feeling threatened just hours before the fatal attack. Yet authorities failed to act, and now an innocent child is dead.
“What kind of sick country has this become?” Wilders thundered in parliament, confronting Justice Minister Van Weel of the VVD party, whose response was nothing more than bureaucratic hand-wringing. “Why do we let this happen? This criminal should never have been allowed to walk free in our streets, and now a child is dead because of your government’s incompetence.”
Wilders pointed to a disturbing pattern of violent crimes committed by non-Western migrants, particularly Moroccans. “We are plagued by criminals who terrorize our families and children. How many more innocent lives must be lost before something is done?” he demanded, referencing previous incidents, including the explosion in Tarwekamp last December that killed six people, three of whom were Moroccan nationals.
The Justice Minister, struggling to deflect the growing outrage, admitted that the suspect was under probation supervision and was known to police, probation services, and the Care and Safety Office. Yet, he offered no explanation as to why such a dangerous individual was allowed to live in a community with children.
The anger in parliament was palpable as Wilders exposed the government’s inaction. “If the police had responded to the desperate calls from terrified parents, Sohani might still be alive today.”
Failed Policies and Bureaucratic Excuses
Wilders didn’t hold back, tearing into the sluggish response from the VVD-led government. “This is the result of years of reckless open-border policies and weak justice enforcement. Dangerous criminals are walking free while innocent children are being murdered. The Netherlands is being torn apart by multicultural violence.”
Instead of clear solutions, Minister Van Weel offered vague assurances that investigations would occur and the government would review what went wrong. “We are setting up an incident table with all involved agencies to determine what happened and what measures should be taken,” he said, failing to address why known violent offenders are still being allowed to roam free in Dutch neighborhoods.
But Wilders refused to accept more bureaucratic platitudes. “We don’t need words, we need action. Get these criminals off the streets, lock them up, deport them, but for God’s sake, do something—and do it quickly!”
The Justice Minister should rightfully be from Geert Wilders’ PVV, given that his party won by far the most parliamentary seats in the last election. However, due to the Proportional Representation system in the Netherlands and the collapse of the coalition in 2023, ministers from the previous VVD government are still holding onto their cabinet posts. This means that despite Wilders’ decisive victory, his party has not yet taken control of key ministries—including Justice—making the situation even more outrageous.
Demands for Immediate Action
Wilders is demanding swift and decisive measures to prevent further tragedies:
- Immediate arrests and incarceration of known criminal migrants.
- Deportation of foreign nationals convicted of violent crimes.
- Stripping Dutch nationality from dual-citizen criminals to enable deportation.
- A complete overhaul of the justice system to prioritize public safety over bureaucratic delays.
The brutal murder of Sohani is just the latest in a long list of violent crimes committed by criminal migrants who should have never been in the Netherlands in the first place. “How many more Dutch children need to die before this government wakes up?” Wilders asked, his voice echoing the frustration of countless Dutch citizens who have lost faith in their leaders.
A Nation at a Breaking Point
The Dutch people are watching closely. They are tired of endless government inaction, tired of migrants who arrive as so-called refugees but turn into violent criminals, and tired of being told that “investigations” will solve the problem. The patience of the nation is running out.
As Geert Wilders continues to demand action, the question now is whether the government will finally listen or continue down its path of inaction—at the cost of more innocent lives. One thing is sure: the Dutch people will not forget Sohani, and they will not accept another excuse when the next innocent victim falls.
