New Orleans Jihad Attack: How Government Cowardice and Islamic Whitewashing Endanger America

The attack in New Orleans was not just an act of terror; it was a glaring reminder of a government more committed to appeasing Islam and preserving political correctness than protecting American lives.

The Islamic terror attack in New Orleans by an assailant identified as 42-year-old U.S. citizen Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who was found carrying an ISIS flag, was not just a tragedy; it was a damning indictment of a government that has spent years willfully dismantling the very defenses meant to protect us. Authorities have confirmed that Jabbar did not act alone, revealing ties to a broader network that enabled and supported the attack. This incident was predictable, not because of intelligence failures alone, but because of the systemic whitewashing of Islam by leaders too terrified—or too complicit—to confront the ideological threat it poses. This is not a failure of understanding; it is a deliberate betrayal of the American people.

New Orleans Jihad Attack: How Government Cowardice and Islamic Whitewashing Endanger America

Under the Biden administration, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) issued guidance warning intelligence personnel against using terms like “jihadist,” “Islamic extremist,” or “radical Islamist”—phrases that accurately describe the ideology motivating global terrorism. These terms were deemed “problematic” because they might “hurt Muslim feelings.” Think about that: the feelings of a religious group were prioritized over the lives of innocent Americans. This wasn’t a simple bureaucratic blunder; it was the result of years of infiltration by Islamic advocacy groups with ties to extremism.

The involvement of controversial figures like Shaykh Hamza Yusuf in shaping counterterrorism policy highlights the extent of this infiltration. Yusuf, a man with a documented history of anti-American, antisemitic rhetoric and associations with groups like the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA)—a known promoter of jihad—has been invited to influence the U.S. government’s counterterrorism approach. This is the same man who once referred to Judaism as “a most racist religion” and America as “a country that has little to be proud of.” How can a government claim to defend its citizens while taking advice from someone with a track record of praising jihad and condemning the very principles of Western civilization?

The betrayal doesn’t stop there. This administration’s refusal to name the enemy is not new. Judicial Watch exposed how, under the Obama administration, FBI Director Robert Mueller met with radical Islamic groups like CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) and ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) to purge FBI training materials of anything deemed “offensive” to Muslims. These organizations have well-documented ties to terrorism. CAIR, for example, was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism financing case in U.S. history. Yet, instead of cutting ties, our government bent the knee, removing vital training materials that could have saved lives.

This political correctness is killing us. In case after case—Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon bombing, the Orlando nightclub shooting—the warning signs were ignored. Major Nidal Hasan’s emails praising jihad were dismissed. The Tsarnaev brothers were flagged by foreign governments as threats, yet no action was taken. Why? Because acknowledging these individuals as threats would mean acknowledging the ideological link between their actions and Islam—a link our leaders are too cowardly to name.

Even more recently, the Biden administration aligned itself with groups that actively promote the Islamic agenda. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas proudly announced the formation of a “Prevention Resource Center” in collaboration with organizations like CAIR. This is the same Hamas-linked CAIR that has openly called for the eradication of Israel and defended individuals convicted of terrorism-related charges. By allowing these groups to influence policy, the government is not just turning a blind eye to terrorism—it is enabling it.

The consequences of this whitewashing are evident in the blood spilled in New Orleans and countless other attacks. The perpetrators of these atrocities openly declare their allegiance to Islam. They cite the Quran, they shout “Allahu Akbar,” and they justify their actions as acts of jihad. Meanwhile, our leaders are more concerned with combating “Islamophobia” than they are with protecting American lives. This dangerous obsession with diversity and inclusion has turned our intelligence agencies into tools of appeasement rather than protection.

It is time to hold this government accountable. The American people deserve leaders who are willing to call out the ideological roots of terrorism and act decisively to combat it. This means:

  1. Purging Islamic influence from intelligence and policy-making institutions. Individuals with ties to radical organizations have no place in shaping counterterrorism strategies.
  2. Restoring truthful language in counterterrorism training. Intelligence agencies must be allowed to use accurate terminology to describe the threats we face. Anything less is willful negligence.
  3. Ending government partnerships with Islamic advocacy groups. Groups like CAIR and ISNA, with their documented ties to extremism, must be cut off from all influence and funding.
  4. Reprioritizing national security over political correctness. The safety of American citizens must always come first, even if it means offending certain groups.

The attack in New Orleans is another wake-up call—but only if we listen. Our government’s whitewashing of Islam has left the nation vulnerable, and the cost is measured in American lives. We must reject the lies, confront the truth, and demand action before more blood is spilled. The enemy is not in the shadows; they are in plain sight. It’s time to name them, fight them, and stop them.
