France Offers to Lend Germany Nuclear Bombs
The European Union is moving quickly toward becoming a nuclear superpower. Friedrich Merz, Germany’s likely next chancellor, called for France to share its nuclear bombs on February 21, just ahead of the German election.
“We need to have discussions with both the British and the French—the two European nuclear powers—about whether nuclear sharing, or at least nuclear security from the [United Kingdom] and France, could also apply to us,” Merz said.
Politico noted that this “would be a huge shift in position” and “a major strategic shift for Germany.”
France is reportedly ready to follow through. The Telegraph reported that a French official said France was ready to lend Germany nuclear bombs.
“Posting a few French nuclear jet fighters in Germany should not be difficult and would send a strong message,” the official reportedly said.
“My understanding is that on the [Christian Democratic Union] side, the thinking is we need a nuclear umbrella, we want to have a say in this, we should be ready to talk about this, and we are willing to pay for it,” he said.
A key reason for doing so would be to pressure Britain to also share its nuclear weapons with Germany. “If the French move to place a nuclear deterrent in Germany it would indeed increase pressure on the Brits to follow suit,” he said.
Nuclear sharing is a theme French President Emmanuel Macron has brought up repeatedly. In 2019, he told the Economist, “We are in a Europe where we left the arms issue under the control of treaties that predated the end of the Cold War between the United States and Russia. Is that a Europe that thinks about its destiny and builds?” Regarding Macron’s comments, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote, “A clear trend is taking place: President Macron demands what Germany wants. I don’t believe Macron would ever say what he said unless Germany approved of it. He acts as a sort of puppet to Germany!”
“Imagine if a German chancellor gave a speech like Mr. Macron did, demanding that all Europe support Brussels’ dictates,” he wrote. “Germany wouldn’t dare make such a proposal right now! But it is definitely in Germany’s interest—and Macron is the one pushing for it!”
When Macron talked about a European nuclear umbrella last year, Mr. Flurry wrote: “As is often the case, the French president is saying things that Germany dares not say.”
Already Germany dares to speak more openly about acquiring nuclear weapons.
Of course, Germany already has nukes—American ones. Germany is believed to have about 20 American nuclear bombs. They can be loaded onto German fighter jets, although in theory, the U.S. has to approve any use. In practice, they’ve been on German bases for decades.
“Germany doesn’t want to give up America’s nuclear bombs,” wrote Mr. Flurry. “But Macron’s support for Europeanizing France’s bombs gives Germany more negotiating power with America. Germany can in effect say, We don’t need your nuclear bombs; we can have France’s or develop our own bombs with French support.
“This means the U.S. has lost power over Germany’s security. What then is left for America to do other than try to uphold good relations with Germany on the latter’s terms?”
The anonymous French diplomat said that a formal offer to share French bombs would probably only come if America withdrew its nukes. With this “understanding” in their back pocket, any threat from U.S. President Donald Trump to withdraw Germany’s nuclear umbrella is effectively neutralized. It’s likely the French government wanted this offer unofficial, but public, to show that Germany has other options.
By making this offer, France is helping Germany stand up to Donald Trump. It’s very clear which side it is on.
Mr. Flurry has warned for years about France playing this role.
“France under Macron is wholeheartedly supporting a European military with nuclear weapons,” he wrote last year. “But little does France know to what end Germany plans to use this power!”
It has chosen sides, but it doesn’t see much of what Germany is planning. “… France will finally find out what Germany has been planning all along,” wrote Mr. Flurry. “France will then be shocked to see what its betrayal of America and Britain has caused!”
He warned:
European history has many instances of people trying to establish a European empire: Charlemagne, Napoleon, Adolf Hitler and others. These were all terrifyingly bloody times in Europe! This was the tyranny of a resurrected Holy Roman Empire in World Wars i and ii.
America helped set France free from that empire. Instead of showing gratitude, France is now helping to raise it up again.
France is descended from Reuben, one of the tribes of Israel. Britain and America are descended from Joseph. Anciently Reuben went along with his brothers in betraying Joseph. He intended to free his half-brother when nobody was looking but was too weak to stand up himself. Instead, Joseph was sold into slavery while Reuben was away.
“This is history, and it is in the context of end-time prophecy,” wrote Mr. Flurry. “This history is going to be repeated. Together with Genesis 49, this gives a clue of what France, modern Reuben, will do in this end time.”
Unknown to the world, God is raising up a beast power (Revelation 17) to correct the nations of Israel—primarily Britain, America and Judah in the Middle East. Rather than defend its brother nations, France is empowering Germany. “Macron is already willing to share France’s nuclear bombs with Germany!” wrote Mr. Flurry. “These two nations are working together on powerful tanks, fighter jets and many other armaments. In some ways you could say France is already giving its ‘power and strength unto the beast’—a German-led war machine.”
He wrote:
There will come a point when Germany goes into full attack mode against America and Britain. Many prophecies reveal this. At that point, France will think, What have we gotten ourselves into? But then it will be too late!
Once they see the “beast” power they have empowered and recognize what utter devastation they have helped cause, the French people, like Reuben anciently, will be utterly shocked!
