Islamic blasphemy laws claimed another victim on January 31, 2025, when Iraqi-born activist Salwan Momika was gunned down in his Södertälje, Sweden, home. Momika, known for publicly burning the Quran, had become a global symbol of free speech resistance against Islamic intimidation—and for that, he was marked for death..
Rather than condemning this assassination as an attack on free speech, the controversial Indian National Congress (INC)—which ruled India for nearly 50 of its 75 years of independence—has exposed its true nature: a party appearing to support Islamic-style public executions.
Sheikh Aamir, a Congress Party spokesperson and a “senior leader” from Jammu and Kashmir, didn’t just celebrate Momika’s assassination—he demanded an even more brutal punishment. Cold-blooded murder wasn’t enough. He wanted public torture, humiliation, and execution straight out of Islamic law. His chilling words?
“I strongly condemn the killing of Salwan. He should have been paraded naked on the streets and stoned to death. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see him dying with my own eyes.”
This isn’t just dangerous rhetoric—it’s an open call for Islamic bloodlust, demanding medieval Sharia executions for those who offend Islam.
Aamir’s shocking comments came in response to RAIR Foundation’s Amy Mek, who had reported Momika’s killing, calling it proof of the growing Islam problem:
Amy Mek: “I feel physically sick. The fact that I even have to report on this is beyond infuriating and heartbreaking! How many more need to be slaughtered before the world stops lying to itself and admits the truth—we have an ISLAM problem.”
After Aamir responded with his chilling call for public torture and execution, outrage spread, and he quickly deleted his tweet—but the damage was done.
Adding to the controversy, Aamir mistakenly listed the wrong X handle for the Congress Party in his bio. While the official Indian National Congress handle is @INCIndia, he instead included @inc, the account of an American company. Once backlash over his threats erupted, he quietly erased any mention of the Congress Party from his profile.
